Exhibition & Lecture: Joe Hedges

Joe Hedges, painting and intermedia professor, is showing a new body of innovative intermedia art works, sponsored by the WSU New Faculty Seed Grant. These “hyper combines” include oil painting and new media objects such as flat screen televisions and tablets. These works obfuscate the physical and conceptual boundaries between media to make comments on specific challenges of the digital age. TRIBUTTE A pop-up group exhibition of provisional art works created at Kamiak Butte and the Palouse    For this show, MFA graduate students enrolled in FA 555 Critical Practices go to Kamiak Butte with minimal materials. Artists are asked to respond to the environment in an intuitive manner for approximately three hours, working mostly in groups.
